The Seattle Erotic Art Festival Announces Open Call for Entries for its 16th Annual Event
SEATTLE (PRWEB) November 16, 2017 -- The Seattle Erotic Art Festival (SEAF) announces its open call for its 16th annual event to be held April 27-29, 2018 in Seattle Center. SEAF is an internationally-recognized celebration of erotic art and performance unlike any other festival or gallery you’ve ever experienced. The three-day event touts some of the finest erotic art in the world. Event planning is underway for the 16th anniversary festivities that will transform the Seattle Center’s historic Exhibition Hall into a lively art festival. Artists, creators and experimenters are invited to propose projects large and small - visual art, exhibitions and installations, as well as burlesque performances, pantomimes, poetry readings, lectures and live music. SEAF proudly celebrates and promotes freedom of sexuality, speech and creativity through the erotic expression of fine art, in all its many forms.
“Creating erotic art is a form of activism,” says Festival Director Sophia Iannicelli. “When you create art, you are encouraging the world to accept sexuality as a vital element of the human experience. One of my goals is for everyone who attends the Festival to see some aspect of sexuality that they previously didn’t understand; to come away from the Festival with a sense of acceptance, and an understanding that joy is expressed in many different ways.”
Artists interested in submitting their work to the Festival can learn more about SEAF’s submission policies and jury processes here: https://www.seattleerotic.org/artists/. Artists do not need to attend the Festival to be accepted.
Artists and creative teams are asked to submit their visual art, literary art, and merchandise for the Festival Store, and proposals of performance and/or interactive installations online starting noon, December 1, 2017.
Deadline for entries is 11PM, January 15, 2018.
