Blackbird Technologies Settles Patent Case with Stanley Black & Decker
BOSTON (PRWEB) November 17, 2017 -- Blackbird Technologies has settled a patent infringement lawsuit related to cordless power tool battery pack accessories.
In April 2017, Blackbird Technologies (http://www.blackbird-tech.com) initiated an action against Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. and products sold under its DEWALT and Porter-Cable brands in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware (17-cv-487). The patent at issue is U.S. Patent No. 9,620,989 and covers rechargeable battery accessories for cordless power tools. Earlier this month, the parties settled the case.
“It’s very gratifying to have helped the inventor in this case realize the potential of the many innovative contributions he’s made to this field,” said David Gerasimow, Senior Litigation Counsel at Blackbird Technologies.
Wendy Verlander, President and CEO of Blackbird Technologies, said, “The inventor of this patent invested significant time and resources to develop this widely used technology. We are thrilled to be able to help him see well-deserved value for his efforts.”
