WordStream Named a Top Place to Work by the Boston Globe
Boston, MA (PRWEB) November 17, 2017 -- WordStream, a leading provider of online advertising software and services, was named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts in the 10th annual employee-based survey project from the Boston Globe. The company ranked #30 in the medium-sized business category, announced at the award ceremony on Thursday night.
Top Places to Work recognizes the most admired workplaces in the state voted on by the people who know them the best—their employees. The survey measures employee opinions about their company’s direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay and benefits, and engagement. The employers are placed into one of four groups: small, with 50 to 99 employees; medium, with 100 to 249 workers; large, with 250 to 999; and largest, with 1,000 or more.
WordStream is having a banner year. In addition to joining the ranks of the Globe’s Top Places to Work, the online advertising software company was also recognized among the Boston Business Journal’s Best Places to Work and Fast 50, and as a member of the Inc. 5000, Inc. Magazine’s annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.
“Helping our customers grow their businesses is what drives us every day, and the number one thing we can do to help our customers succeed is to fill our company with people who are passionate about our mission and love coming to work,” said Howard Kogan, WordStream’s President. “We put a lot of thought and energy into who we hire and into building a workplace culture that serves as a launching pad for the careers of our employees. So I’m gratified and honored to be recognized by the Globe for these efforts.”
Katie Johnston, the Globe’s Top Places to Work editor, said, “Our winning companies are all in on a secret. Treating employees well isn’t that difficult, and the payoff – increased morale, retention, and productivity – is huge.”
The rankings in the Top Places to Work list are based on confidential survey information collected by Energage (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention, from nearly 75,060 individuals at 334 Massachusetts organizations. The winners share a few key traits, including offering progressive benefits, giving their employees a voice, and encouraging them to have some fun while they’re at it.
