Visit Temecula Valley Announces Top Winterfest Experiences for Visitors & Groups to Temecula Valley Southern California Wine Country
Temecula Valley, CA (PRWEB) November 20, 2017 -- The holiday season springs to life with the start of Winterfest in Temecula Valley Southern California Wine Country. The season’s magic is on display throughout the region, with a wealth of holiday offerings for spreading cheer. Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the wonder of Temecula Valley’s Winterfest, just 60 minutes from San Diego and 90 minutes from Los Angeles.
The coolest holiday events in Southern California take place this Winterfest at Temecula Chilled. From the decorated streets of Old Town to Chilled menu items at numerous restaurants to the twinkly lit vineyards of wine country, Temecula Chilled will envelope visitors with its winter-weather wishes, no matter the actual temperature. Temecula Chilled events start early in the season, just after Thanksgiving, allowing visitors the opportunity to start the holidays off right.
Within Wine Country, there are plenty of holiday offerings to add to the festive cheer. The Lorimar Annual Tree Lighting, with Santa, cocoa, mulled wine and cookies, is December 3. South Coast Winery's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony & Snow Festival, an evening for the whole family, runs the same evening. Numerous wineries “deck their halls” for the season including Thornton Winery, Europa Village, Lorimar Winery, Ponte Winery, and South Coast Winery (where you can take Jingle Bell Sleigh Rides through 100,000 twinkle lights).
Weekends in Old Town Temecula are bright with holiday cheer including live entertainment, stores and restaurants to explore, ice skating in Town Square, Santa meet and greets, and more. The 25th annual Santa’s Electric Light Parade, December 1, boasts floats, horses, bands, and more than 20,000 lights. On Holiday Taste of Old Town and Old Town Shopping Night, December 5, restaurants offer samples, carolers stroll the streets in festive attire, and stores stay open late with special discounts available. Families should mark their calendar for December 8, the evening of Pennypickle’s Winter Wonderland; visits with Santa are capped off with play in real snow.
Holiday-themed entertainment takes center stage this Winterfest in Old Town: the 18th Annual Christmas in the Air concert fills the sky with the sounds of holiday cheer; the Temecula Valley Master Chorale presents An English Christmas with carols and hymns of the season; and the holiday classic, A Christmas Carol, reminds patrons to celebrate Christmas past, present, and future on stage.
Additional Winterfest activities throughout the season include Pechanga Resort & Casino’s gingerbread display; Brian Setzer Orchestra’s Christmas Rocks! Tour; A Christmas Story: The Musical, with an early November run; Breakfast with Santa; The Nutcracker Ballet, presented by Fine Arts Network and The Ballet Studio; Winter Joy!, an orchestral holiday celebration; Irving Berlin’s White Christmas: The Musical; Candlelight Classics at the Merc; Christmas Tree Lane at the Promenade in Temecula; and Christmas on the Ranch at Galway Downs, with a Christmas Village, special events, and one of California’s largest real ice skating rinks.
