Hollywood Licensing Group removes "THE WEINSTEIN" company name from their film "WIND RIVER" for China release.
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) November 20, 2017 -- Anthony Cohen the CEO of Hollywood Licensing Group announced on Monday November 20th, the removal of "The Weinstein's" name from “Wind River” staring Jeremy Renner as a Fish & Wildlife ranger who discovers the barefoot body of a teenage girl in the snowy wilderness surrounding a Wyoming Indian Reservation from which the film takes its title. The film is a passion project of Tayler Sheridan who wrote and directed the film, as a director myself I understand the passion and the hard work that goes into creating something like Wind River, a great film all around, so you can't have a film that is speaking out about assault and rape, explaining what women go through on the indian reservation, yet this is happening here in Hollywood. It only makes sense to remove and stay away from such person and company. I feel like having the name "Weinstein" attached to this project is a disrespect to all the women in the business as well as my dear friends, Jeremey, Elizabeth and Tayler.
