Unlocking a door at the entrance to a home or business should be a quick and easy task; however, that’s not always the case when it’s not light enough to see clearly. Fortunately, an inventor from Rock Hill, S.C., has come up with an idea that sheds light on the subject.
He developed GLOW LOCK to improve visibility when unlocking a door in the dark. As such, it eliminates the need to waste time searching for the correct key in dimly lit entrances and enables users to unlock doors and enter premises quickly and easily. It also operates as an early-warning against unwanted entry to a home without the key. It allows for texting to the user's phone to alert him or her to a possible forced entry while he or she is at a safe distance. Also, authorized entry into the home is sped up due to improved visibility. Thus, it improves safety and affords peace of mind by lessening the chances of users being victimized by crime. This unique lock system is also convenient, effective and affordably priced. In addition, it is lightweight, portable and easy to install and use.
The inventor’s personal priorities inspired the idea. “Initially, I wanted to do something that would have a positive impact like saving lives and improving quality of life, especially for the elderly. However, I realized this idea would be beneficial for anyone,” he said.
