Mathiason began his career with Jemison Metals in 1998, serving as manager, vice president, and executive vice president. For the last three years Mathiason served as the Executive Vice President of Jemison’s Commercial division, where he fulfilled many of the operational responsibilities he retains in his new role.

“I’ve long been proud to work alongside this team of innovators,” said Mathiason “and I welcome the opportunity to lead that team. The common thread in us all is the drive to create efficiencies before our clients even realize the need for them. What we do isn’t just about selling metals—it’s about boosting our customers’ businesses. Pete has challenged us to think strategically to accomplish that, and I am eager to work with him in this new role.”

Pete Heinke, Jemison Metals’ CEO, will remain involved in business operations while tackling a key strategic initiative for the company. His focused efforts are on the development of new industry technologies designed to extend a strategic advantage to Jemison clients.

“It is an exciting time for our company and I have every confidence that Jemison will continue our success by providing our customers with exceptional service, our employees with a great place to work, and our investors with superior returns,” said Pete Heinke, Jemison Metals CEO. “Our strength lies in our ability to work in unison with our clients to optimize their supply chain and drive out waste wherever it hides. We will continue to explore the next breakthrough innovation in optimization for our clients.”
