While cooking chicken with the skin on may keep the meat moist, the disadvantage is that the skin adds fat and calories to the meal. Since removing the skin by hand can be somewhat messy and inconvenient, an inventor from Jersey City, N.J., has come up with a better option.
She developed a prototype for E. V. to ease the task of removing the skin from chicken and turkey legs. As such, it eliminates the need to pull the skin off the chicken by hand, saving considerable time and energy in the kitchen. At the same time, it contributes to heart healthy meals with fewer calories and less saturated fat. This novel gadget is also safe, comfortable and efficient. Furthermore, its construction makes it lightweight, portable and easy to use. Other appealing features include convenience, effectiveness and an affordable price.
The inventor’s health concerns inspired the idea. “Because I have some health issues, my doctor advised me to eat chicken without the skin to eliminate some of the calories and saturated fat. So I wanted to find an easy way to remove the skin,” she said.
