SEAL Awards Announces New Environmental Lifetime Achievement Award
SAN DIEGO (PRWEB) November 21, 2017 -- The SEAL Awards has announced the launch of a new Lifetime Achievement Award to honor the legacies of society’s most impactful environmental leaders.
“2017 has been a disaster for the environment. We have suffered from devastating hurricanes - Harvey, Irma, Jose, and Maria - that have direct links to climate change. The United States announced its reckless withdrawal from the Paris Agreement. CO2 emissions will yet again hit a new record high. Our planet needs solutions urgently,” stated Matt Harney, founder of the SEAL Awards.
“Solving long-term, massive problems like our climate crisis requires long-term action. It is imperative we honor individuals that have dedicated their lives, careers, and resources to securing our environment’s future. In that spirit, we are excited to announce the launch of the SEAL Lifetime Achievement Award.”
The SEAL Lifetime Achievement Award will recognize individuals from the following four categories:
- Non-Profit Leadership
- Business Leadership
- Environmental Philanthropy
- Policy
The award winners will be selected through a judging panel review, nominations from environmental experts, and nominations from the general public. Nominations from the general public can be made through the following link:

The winners of the inaugural SEAL Lifetime Achievement Awards will be announced in 2018 and complement SEAL’s existing environmental awards programs:
