Public Service Credit Union Announces Holiday Sock Drive for the Homeless
LONE TREE, Colo. (PRWEB) November 22, 2017 -- Public Service Credit Union (PSCU) announces its annual holiday Sock Drive benefitting local homeless shelters.
Just in time for Giving Tuesday, PSCU is collecting new and gently used socks from November 17, through December 16, 2017. PSCU President & Chief Executive Officer, Todd Marksberry and Miss Colorado 2017, Meredith Winnefeld, are encouraging Coloradoans to help provide warmth for the homeless this holiday season. “Between the members and employees of Public Service Credit Union, last year we collected over 3,000 pairs of socks,” said Winnefeld.
Both Marksberry and Winnefeld insist the PSCU Sock Drive can only get better. “We absolutely want you to come in and bring in as many pairs of socks as you can,” said Marksberry, “so we can make a meaningful and significant difference in the lives of those folks that are homeless here in Colorado.” The credit union is working with local homeless shelters to distribute the socks during the winter holidays. Why socks? Socks are the #1 most requested clothing item, according to the Salvation Army. Donations are welcome at all 28 PSCU branch locations throughout the Front Range, from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs. Visit PSCU online at http://pscu.org/locations to find a nearby branch.
