Preconference Training Gives Medical Professionals Early Start to 2018 iaedp™ Symposium
Pekin, IL (PRWEB) November 21, 2017 -- According to recent reports from U.S. medical associations, early intervention is critical to long-term recovery for patients with eating disorders and is a key focus for the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals’ (iaedp™) preconference trainings, part of the group’s annual conference featuring nearly 100 presentations and exhibits and preconference training workshops.
With a convenient start time of just one day prior to the iaedp’s™ annual conference, the preconference trainings consist of two 3-hour workshops. This training proves especially useful for those professionals who do not specialize in eating disorders, but who are often the first to see the signs and symptoms that a patient is suffering with disordered eating.
The preconference trainings also are specifically designed to teach psychiatrists, primary care physicians, residents, medical students, nurses and insurance providers on how to recognize, evaluate and mobilize the resources needed to treat patients of many ages, scenarios and with varying degrees of malnutrition and medical comorbidity and necessity.
The 2018 iaedp™ Symposium is slated for March 22 – 25, 2018 at the Omni Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida. For more information about early registration, go to: http://www.iaedp.com.
