Our world weather systems know no boundaries and dust from Sahara and wild fires at Portugal cause hurricanes that effects North America, U.K. And Ireland. It is this thought that provokes artist Sujata Tibrewala to paint a picture of one world held in a delicate balance by these forces of nature at her latest exhibit up on display at her studio in Milpitas

A world held in delicate balance

My beautiful world

The earth will live on, it is us who will die if we do not take care of the environment we live in.

Sujata Tibrewala's new exhibit at her home studio re-iterates the idea that we need to consider ourselves as citizens of the earth rather than restrict ourselves into man made borders. The recent upsurge of extreme weather conditions as predicted by scientists , a result of global warming only makes her convey her message through her paintings with extreme urgency.

The Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO) at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center has developed the Goddard Earth Observing System (GEOS), a family of mathematical models. NASA just released an animation of the atmosphere during hurricane season. This new GEOS Simulation, involving "Aerosols"-- fine dust, smoke and salt particles, shows how salt and the vast plumes of dust coming off Africa caused Hurricane Harvey and Irma. Also the hurricane Ophelia which hit Ireland as a post tropical cyclone is shows to caused by smoke from Portugal's extensive fires and stream it north into the UK.

The paintings on display include "My beautiful world" features a black hole in the center of the painting from which emerges blooms of flowers signifying birth of new life from destruction, a hope that life will find a way to regenerate after the toughest of catastrophes. The basic elements of nature, air, water and fire spiral around this black hole, signifying the delicate nature of the balance, life on earth needs, in order for it to survive.
