Sharon’s performance at the Hollywood Bowl was flawless, but her dream quickly turns into a nightmare after she learns her father has been killed on the Hollywood freeway. Devastated, she decides to give up the concert stage and disappear. She changes her name to Mary Quinn and moves to Palm Springs where she decides to audition for a gig as a piano player at a local bar. Overcome by the memory of her father, she freezes at keyboard then runs from the bar in tears. When an older gentleman chases after Sharon to console her, they quickly become close friends.
Sharon’s adventure truly begins when her and her new friend go hiking in the mountains above Palms Springs where they encounter a man trapped under a Jeep. They rescue the man who happens to be a movie producer. After he invites them to his Bel-Air Estate as a gesture of gratitude, the producer discovers Sharon’s true identity and decides to make a film with her. From there, Sharon regains her ability to play piano, travels the world, falls in love, and returns to her remarkable life.
