"I was tired of having to fight with the hose reel whenever I wanted to take out or put away the hose," said an inventor from Hicksville, N.Y. "I thought that there had to be a better way to design a hose reel so that you did not have to bend over or strain yourself."

He developed the HOSE REEL STAND to make it easier to extend and retract a garden hose. The design eliminates the need to bend over while managing the hose. This protects the user from physical stress and strain. It also saves time and effort. The device is ideal for use by individuals with bad knees or bad backs. Furthermore, the invention keeps the hose from getting tangled.

The original design was submitted to the Long Island office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
