At LARKR, we want to provide a convenient one-stop shop where people can practice proactive self-care, but can also quickly and easily reach a certified therapist in the same familiar channel if or when professional help is needed.

New smartphone app LARKR today announced an expansion of its on-demand mental health care services, with the addition of free guided meditations to the platform. The new offering complements the app’s revolutionary real-time talk therapy sessions and existing mindfulness and self-care features, solidifying LARKR as the go-to app for comprehensive mental wellness.

Ranging from three to ten minutes in length, six meditation tracks are currently available on the LARKR app, with plans to continue adding more. The various recordings concentrate on stress and anxiety relief, mindfulness, relationship building, creativity, and deep sleep, as well as a self-guided musical meditation.

LARKR’s new meditation sessions are available at no cost to users and with no personal information required to use, as are the app’s unique mood tracking feature “My Story” and daily good deed challenge “Be The Change.”

These self-care features can be used supplementary to or independently of LARKR’s core product of on-demand video talk therapy. Seeking to close the massive service gap that leaves as many as 50 million Americans without the mental health care they need, LARKR’s easy-to-use app connects users nationwide with licensed therapists specializing in the person’s area of need for affordable, 50-minute sessions that happen in real time with no travel required.

“Meditation is a powerful tool in supporting one’s mental wellness, whether or not a person also attends therapy,” said LARKR CEO and Co-Founder Shawn Kernes. “At LARKR, we want to provide a convenient one-stop shop where people can practice proactive self-care, but can also quickly and easily reach a certified therapist in the same familiar channel if or when professional help is needed.”

LARKR is now available for download in the Apple App Store and it will also be coming soon to Android devices. Those interested can learn more at larkr.com.
