ROME (PRWEB) November 30, 2017 -- UNICO, a startup offering blockchain-certified digital collectibles, is finalizing an agreement with a US-based art collector to issue the world’s first, limited-edition Michael Jackson digital collectible certified by the Ethereum blockchain. The collectible is based on a high-resolution photograph of a serigraph taken from “The Book”, which is said to be the only portrait of Michael Jackson he ever posed for the original portrait, made by Australian artist Brett-Livingstone Strong, was reportedly sold for $2,100,000 in 1990.
UNICO’s co-founder and CEO Claudio Parrinello said:
“A limited series of numbered serigraphs of “The Book”, double-signed by Jackson and Strong, exist. UNICO has acquired exclusive reproduction rights on one of these serigraphs and will turn it into a limited-edition digital collectible. UNICO’s proprietary “smart contract” technology will enable collectors to acquire via the Ethereum blockchain one or more access licenses to visualize the collectible. Licenses can also be traded between collectors once acquired.”
UNICO will also be having a pre-sale at the Cofound.it Playoffs where they will be collecting funds that will enable them to deliver a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) before the main crowdsale, increase their global visibility, and create and initial catalogue with attractive collectibles for sale.
