Fordham University School of Professional and Continuing Studies Appoints Debbie Lesperance Director of Admission and Recruitment
NEW YORK (PRWEB) November 29, 2017 -- Fordham University’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS) is pleased to announce that Debbie Lesperance has been named Director of Admission and Recruitment. In this role, Ms. Lesperance is responsible for all admission and recruitment efforts for the undergraduate, certificates and Master of Science degree programs housed within PCS. She will manage the application process from pool development to decision, head all recruitment efforts including information sessions and events, develop strategic communication plans and ensure a smooth transition from admission to enrollment. She will report directly to Andrea Marais, Associate Dean of Strategic Marketing and Enrollment for PCS.
“Ms. Lesperance has significant background in the admissions arena and will be integral to the continued success of our programs,” said Marais. “Our academic offerings attract students of all stages of life and we look forward to utilizing her deep expertise and innovative thinking to usher in the future of PCS.”
After completing her studies at SUNY New Paltz, Ms. Lesperance spent two years at Edwin Gould Academy in Rockland County as a counselor for at-risk youth. She transitioned to higher education administration as an admission counselor at St. Thomas Aquinas College, working primarily with undergraduate students from New York City. She then moved to graduate enrollment in 2000, at Teachers College, Columbia University as an assistant director of admissions and held the role as interim director for six months, quickly being promoted to associate director in 2003. In February 2007, she took the post of director of admissions at Columbia School of Social Work, a role she held for 10 years before joining Fordham.
She was an active member of the Associate for Graduate Enrollment Management (formerly The National Associate of Graduate Admissions Professionals) and resides in Rockland County, N.Y.
