The Traffic Group’s Guckert to Speak Twice at ICSC’s CenterBuild Conference

(TTG) – one of the nation’s leading SDVOSB traffic engineering and transportation planning firms – will be a featured speaker two consecutive days at the International Council of Shopping Centers’ (ICSC) CenterBuild Conference, taking place in Scottsdale, Arizona November 28-December 1, 2017.
The CenterBuild Conference is the premier specialty conference for design and construction professionals dedicated to the planning, development, design and construction of shopping centers, retail stores, and retail-focused developments.
Guckert will present - along with Trevor Pollard, Vice President of Architecture and Design at Westfield - three segments: Innovation, Future Thinking, and Transformative Forces; Transportation Changes Equal Retail Opportunities; and Influences on the Retail Landscape and Infrastructure. Specifically, Guckert’s sessions will delve into the impact driverless cars will have on retail, such as picking up and dropping off points, parking garages, and the need for space reconfiguration.
Trevor Pollard, Guckert’s co-presenter, leads interdisciplinary teams through the creative process for development, re-positioning, and new frontier projects. In addition to being instrumental in the design and construction of many Westfield projects, Pollard has led initiatives looking at the future of shopping as well as the future of the traveler journey as it relates to the Westfield airport experience.
With more than 40 years industry experience, Guckert is a recognized and well-respected expert in the field of traffic engineering, and transportation planning. Guckert has played a major role in over 7,000 projects spanning both urban and suburban areas throughout the United States, as well as internationally.
In addition to Guckert’s technical expertise, he is often asked to serve as an expert witness, testifying before District Courts and Planning Commissions on traffic engineering and transportation planning issues.
Guckert is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer on the topic of driverless cars and is Immediate Past Chairman for the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Public Development Infrastructure Council (PDIC).
