“A Preacher Girl's Ride of Faith”: a well-crafted book on how God has called out a woman to preach his word. “A Preacher Girl's Ride of Faith” is the creation of published author, Barbie Brown Glunt, a pastor with The Independent Assemblies of God and who pastors 'The Barn of Praise Ministry' in Dunbar, Pennsylvania.

Glunt shares, “A few months into the pregnancy, Debbie started complaining about her back hurting. Heating pads and ointments didn’t seem to help. The local doctors couldn’t find anything wrong. Nothing seemed to alleviate the pain. Finally, Mom took her to a specialist, and he informed us that her lungs were filling up with fluid. It was a serious situation that needed immediate attention. They rushed her to a nearby hospital and did an emergency procedure to tap her lungs. The next day, we got the grim news that it was cancer. Here she was, twenty-three years of age, happily married, excited about her first pregnancy, and now finds out she has cancer. I’ll never forget the moment when Mom broke the news to me. We just embraced with an agonizing sobbing and fell across the bed. We couldn’t believe it. How could this be happening? We were totally shocked!”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Barbie Brown Glunt’s new book is an evocative book on a young girl who has great adventures with her twin sister Debbie as they grow up, until the latter dies from cancer, leaving her family scarred from such a tragedy.

Glunt talks about the complications of relationships—from twinhood to marriage—and how these can shape an individual’s thinking. Despite the possibility of having a mistaken identity in the eyes of other people, when it comes to God’s eyes, every person is secured as his children.
