Aloha Construction, Inc. partners with Camp One Step to help Children with Cancer
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (PRWEB) November 30, 2017 -- This academic school year, bonded and trusted roofers Aloha Construction, Inc is donating $5 from every assist an Illinois State University athlete scores – both men and women’s – during their upcoming basketball season to Camp One Step by Children’s Oncology Services in Chicago, IL. With Camp One Step offering camp experiences and excursion programs that allow children with cancer to simply enjoy the carefree bliss of childhood, Aloha Construction, Inc. has found yet another impactful way to give back.
David A. Farbaky, President/CEO of Aloha Construction, Inc., says “When we promised our support to ISU, it was mid-way through the College Football season. Our fear was that our support would only make a minimal impact on the community because how late we signed on. The ISU athletic program came up with this generous charity idea and Camp One Step was a natural fit based on what we personally knew about the program.”
Since the local siding contractors Aloha Construction, Inc. became the title sponsor for Illinois State University, their goal has been to use this platform for positive growth says Farbaky: “Our core principles at Aloha Construction, Inc. are based around being more than local roofers. We want to be heavily involved in the communities we build in. Bridging the gap between these two great programs is just the start!”
Farbaky adds “A lot of tough challenges come along with being young; not to mention being a young cancer patient. Friends, school, and sports are replaced by sick days and doctor visits. If we can help pay for a summer full of memorable experiences, I think we are doing the right thing.”
