Engaging in oral sex leads to the exchange of bodily fluids, which could result in the transference of sexually transmitted diseases and diseases of the month, as well as increase the risk of throat cancer caused by HPV.

An inventor from Vernon, N.J., has invented the patent-pending SAFE ORAL SEX (SOS), a means to provide protection when engaged in oral sex. "I became single at the age of 32 after spending 14 years with the same man," said the inventor. “I was inspired to invent a device such as this as a way to provide the dating community with the peace of mind that they were protected."

SAFE ORAL SEX (SOS) prevents the transference of bodily fluids, skin-to-skin contact and sexually-transmitted diseases when engaged in oral sex, providing both parties with greater peace of mind.

Because this invention provides greater safety with regard to sexually transmitted diseases and infections, it could lead to enhanced sexual intimacy. Additionally, it is easy to use and serves as an ice breaker and quite a conversation piece.

The original design was submitted to the New Jersey office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
