Weight Loss and Exercise Disconnection Underlines the Importance of Bariatric Procedures, says Dr. Feiz & Associates

The link between exercise and weight loss may not be as clear as most people think.

A November 25 article on Medical News Today looks at a recent study from the United Kingdom’s Bangor University. The study found that women who participated in exercise classes three times a week without changing their diet did not lose any weight, although other benefits were seen in some of the test subjects. Indeed, more and more experts are speculating that hormones seemingly designed to keep us at our present weight, no matter how excessive, may be very largely responsible for the extreme difficulty most people have defeating obesity. The clinic also notes that patients frequently say that committing to a healthy exercise regimen is far easier than permanently reducing caloric intake.
