HS-UK announces two new ‘Improving Outcomes’ Biometry Courses in March 2018
HARLOW, UK (PRWEB UK) 1 December 2017 -- HS-UK has lined up an exciting programme for these events, which includes lectures on topics such as; ‘Good biometry practice’, ‘TORIC IOL surgery’ and ‘IOL power calculation’. The courses will take place on the 8th and 9th March 2018.
These ‘Improving Outcomes’ biometry courses have been designed to help both beginners and experienced Ophthalmic Consultants get the most from their biometer. Joining the HS-UK Team once again are speakers; Mr David Sculfor, Consultant Optometrist at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and Mr Peter Wilson, Consultant Ophthalmologist at NHS Fife & Forth Valley. Both are widely-recognised as experts in their field.
Each day will include practical, hands-on workshops which will support a range of subjects, including; TORIC IOL planning, editing IOL data, immersion ultrasound and IOL power calculators.
The first day will cover ‘Improving Outcomes’ standard biometry methods, while the second will focus on more advanced techniques, enabling delegates to attend whichever day is more appropriate for their individual learning requirements. Attendees will be able to claim CPD points for each day of the event (CPD points have been applied for, please note that all previous ‘Improving Outcomes’ courses were awarded 7.5 CPD points).
Grant Duncan, HS-UK Clinical Training Manager, said, “At HS-UK we are committed to education and training, and I am delighted to host further ‘Improving Outcomes’ Biometry Courses in March 2018. We have fantastic speakers in David Sculfor and Peter Wilson, so it will be a great opportunity for attendees to learn from them and gain hands-on experience using our state-of-the-art LENSTAR LS 900.”
The price for each course is just £100 (ex VAT), which will include lunch and refreshments. Delegates who wish to attend both courses will receive a discounted price of £175 (+VAT).
Due to the popularity of the previous ‘Improving Outcomes’ courses, it is advised that those wishing to attend should book early to avoid disappointment.
