Heritage Golf Club in Mauritius is hosting Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen at in the first ever golf tournament in the world sanctioned by the European, Asian and Sunshine Tours, the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, organised and hosted by Heritage Resorts.

156 golf professionals gather at The Heritage Golf Club from the 30th November to the 3rd December 2017 for the third edition of the €1 million tournament, the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, tri-sanctioned by the Sunshine, European and Asian Tours. One of the most diverse fields on the European Tour with over 30 nationalities gather at the Heritage Golf Club, host venue of this prestigious tournament which was awarded for the fourth consecutive year been “ Best Golf Course in the Indian Ocean” at the World Golf Awards.

2010 Open champion, Louis Oosthuizen, one of two Major winners in the field is joined by 2011 Open champion Darren Clarke. Oosthuizen, participating for the first time to this tri-sanctioned tournament between the Sunshine, European and Asian Tours is enthusiastic.

The tri-sanctioned field of European, Sunshine and Asian Tour players also includes three of the top four players on the current Asian Tour Order of Merit in leader Gavin Green, third-placed Scott Hend and fourth-placed SSP Chawrasia. Swede Alexander Björk is in Mauritius on the back of finishing tied second in Hong Kong. And Dylan Frittelli, Haydn Porteous and Dean Burmester add to a strong South African challenge as winners on the European Tour this year.
