InventHelp, founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, is attempting to submit this idea, the The Drink D.U.F.F. to applicable companies for their consideration.

"I was watching a documentary on incidents where women were given date-rape drugs, and this idea occurred to me," said an inventor from St. Petersburg, Fla. "My invention would prevent a beverage from being tampered with, thereby keeping people safe from harm."

She developed the patent-pending THE DRINK D.U.F.F. prevent the beverage from being tampered with. The device minimizes the risk of being drugged by a would-be rapist. It keeps the drink safe when it is left unattended. The accessory also keeps germs and other contaminants out of the beverage. All of this offers added peace of mind. Additionally, it is suitable for use with any beverage glass.

The original design was submitted to the Tampa office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
