Neighborhood Credit Union is the Presenting Sponsor for 2017 Children’s Health Miracle Day Radiothon
DALLAS (PRWEB) December 04, 2017 -- The 16th annual Children’s Health Miracle Day Radiothon is less than two weeks away, and Neighborhood Credit Union is excited to announce that it is this year’s presenting sponsor.
As the presenting sponsor, Neighborhood CU is committing to support Children’s Health with a $50,000 contribution as well as help take donation calls. For the past five years, Neighborhood CU employees wake up early to arrive at Children’s Health hospital at 5:30 a.m. to help take calls from individuals wanting to make donations.
It seems like it would make for a long day, but employees are always excited to take part in this event every year. Over the past five years of its relationship with Children’s Health, Neighborhood Credit Union and its members have been able to contribute a total of $153,953.92.
This year Star 102.1 will be broadcasting from Children’s Medical Center Dallas all day December 8 from 6 a.m. to 7p.m. encouraging listeners to call in and make donations that will go to support programs at Children’s Health.
Neighborhood CU has also been a Child Champion sponsor for the past five years where it formed a special relationship with then six-year-old Sim Scott, a Plano brain tumor survivor. Scott and Neighborhood Credit Union have worked together raising awareness and funds for Children’s Miracle Network. He has even been a speaker at various Neighborhood Credit Union events.
“We have been privileged to be able to work alongside Children’s Health for all these years,” said Chet Kimmell, president of Neighborhood Credit Union. “When we were approached with the opportunity to be this year’s title sponsor, we were excited and eager to be able to further support an organization we care so much about.”
Listeners can make donations over the phone by calling 1-800-800-7277 or online by visiting the Miracle Day website.
