People who have trouble sleeping comfortably or wake up with body aches may have difficulty identifying the cause and coming up with a solution. However, an inventor from Bloomfield, Ind., was able to figure out what worked for him and decided to share what he learned.

He developed a prototype for the patent-pending PEOPLE PILLOW to allow the user to sleep lying on his or her stomach in comfort but facilitates other sleep positions, including lying on the back and side, as well. As such, it keeps the upper body elevated for a better night’s sleep and eliminates neck soreness. At the same time, it is lightweight, portable and washable. This novel pillow is also versatile, reliable and comfortable. In addition, it is convenient, effective and affordably priced.

The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. “I invented this pillow for my own personal use because I was tired of having to stuff pillows under my arms to elevate them so I could sleep comfortably,” he said.

The original design was submitted to the Indianapolis office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
