Treatment Center Launches Adolescent Residential Eating Disorder Treatment Program
FLETCHER, N.C. (PRWEB) December 04, 2017 -- On Dec. 1 Tapestry launched a new eating disorder treatment program for adolescents that will provide residential therapy for males and females ages 10 to 17 in Fletcher, N.C.
Since opening in 2007, Tapestry has been helping to heal lives impacted by disordered eating. The expansion at the Fletcher facility will bring needed services for adolescents who require the higher-level care of a residential stay.
“We have noticed a significant increase in requests for more options for adolescent care,” explained Tina Nowak, Tapestry founder and executive director.
“Tapestry is known for providing individualized care in a small, homelike setting,” said Nowak. “Our philosophy is to offer treatment in a setting that more closely resembles real life, as we believe it stacks the deck for lasting recovery. We’re excited to be able to bring our treatment philosophy to this younger population for both boys and girls,” said Nowak.
The new adolescent residential program complements Tapestry’s existing outpatient adolescent program and residential and outpatient programs for adults, located in Fletcher and Brevard, N.C.
To celebrate the new program, Tapestry is hosting an open house for members of the community on Friday, Dec. 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 5010 Hendersonville Road in Fletcher. Guests will have the opportunity to win prizes, enjoy food and refreshments, tour the new 12-bed facility, learn more about available treatment options and meet the staff. The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce will welcome the new facility with a ribbon cutting at 2:30 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to RSVP to bnowak(at)tapestrync(dot)com or by calling (828) 884-2475 ext. 2306.
On Dec. 1, Tapestry also unveiled a new website at tapestrync.com, featuring improved functionality, updated branding, a new logo and comprehensive program information, as well as resources for more information about eating disorders. The new branding also reflects Tapestry’s incorporation into the Pyramid Healthcare, Inc. family of treatment centers. Pyramid Healthcare provides a full continuum of high-quality treatment for behavioral health disorders for adults and teens throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and North Carolina.
