InventHelp Inventor Develops Device to Enhance Safety and Convenience for Tracheostomy Treatment
PITTSBURGH (PRWEB) December 03, 2017 -- An inventor and LPN from Cincinnati, Ohio, has worked with patients who use tracheostomy tubes, and she even saved the life of a child who had pulled out his trach tube. If she hadn’t been nearby, his fate would’ve been quite different. "This inspired me to develop a way to prevent dangerous problems associated with tracheostomy treatment," she said.
She then designed a prototype of the T.T.P.C. TRACH TIE PROTECTIVE COVER, which provides more security for a tracheostomy tube. It prevents the skin behind the trach tie and the neck of the trach tube from being contacted continuously by harmful bodily secretions, avoiding irritation and discomfort. It also prevents the tube from being pulled out prematurely, which helps prevent danger and fatality.
Usable by patients of all ages at home or at a medical facility, this device promotes safety, convenience and peace of mind for trach patients of all ages at home or at a medical facility.
The original design was submitted to the Cincinnati office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
