Introducing The Langham, New York, Fifth Avenue
NEW YORK (PRWEB) December 04, 2017 -- The end of the year always brings with it both reminisces of successes throughout the previous 12 months as well as exciting plans for the future. December 2017 promises to be no different, as The Langham, New York, Fifth Avenue – formerly known as Langham Place, New York – wraps up a successful year that brought with it the title of #1 Hotel in New York City; a brand new Presidential Suite by Roche Bobois; a new full-service spa, Chuan Body + Soul – and a new name with which to start 2018.
As part of Langham Hotels & Resorts by Hong Kong-based Langham Hospitality Group, The Langham, New York will now go by the designation with which most Langham guests are already familiar. This new christening brings closer its affiliation to the group’s luxury flagship hotel and namesake in London, and the three existing hotels in the United States – The Langham, Boston; The Langham, Chicago, and The Langham Huntington, Pasadena. The two upcoming hotels in the United States will also bear The Langham name – The Langham, Wade Park, opening outside of Dallas in 2019; and The Langham, San Francisco, premiering in the trendy Soma neighborhood in 2020.
“The re-naming of our award-winning hotel in New York City will strengthen the brand’s presence in both the United States and in cosmopolitan cities such as Shanghai, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Melbourne,” said Simon Manning, chief sales and marketing officer, Langham Hospitality Group. “As we plan to grow from the current portfolio of 16 hotels to 30 within five years, we look forward to developing a remarkable collection of luxury properties that will add immeasurable value and special memories for our guests.”
“Our hotel, with its contemporary style, Alex Katz art pieces, and an enviable location in one of the most exciting cities in the world, has always upheld the highest standards of sincere service that our guests have come to expect from any Langham hotel around the world,” said Richard Bussiere, managing director of The Langham, New York. “I am immensely proud of all that we accomplished in 2017 and look forward to beginning the new year as The Langham.”
This new identity comes on the heels of a banner year for The Langham, New York. Not only did 2017 bring the completion of a year-long renovation process, resulting in the brand new Presidential Suite by Roche Bobois on the 27th floor, and the elegantly-designed Chuan Body + Soul spa, but this was the year that the readers of Condé Nast Traveler named The Langham the #1 top hotel in New York City, as well as the #2 of The 10 Best Hotels in the U.S. and #30 out of 50 of The Best Hotels in the World.
The Langham’s other U.S. properties were also recognized on the Condé Nast Traveler list in the following order: The Langham, Chicago (#2 in Chicago); The Langham, Boston (#8 in Boston) and The Langham Huntington, Pasadena (#15 in Los Angeles).
Langham Hotels & Resorts overall was given the Platinum award on Money Magazine’s “The Best Hotels in the World” list for 2017, and was voted #12 out of 15 of the “World’s Best Hotel Brands” by Travel + Leisure in 2016. In 2016, the brand’s advertising campaign, “The Art of The Say” won Gold in the Advertising category at the HSMAI (Hospitality and Sales Marketing Association International) Adrian Awards; and the newly re-launched webpage for Langham Hotels & Resorts also won Gold the same year.
The Langham, New York, Fifth Avenue is centrally located at 400 Fifth Avenue, between 36th & 37th Streets. Its 234 guest rooms and suites are some of the largest in the city. The Langham boasts a residentially-inspired aesthetic, topped off by a multi-million dollar permanent art collection featuring the works of Alex Katz and two luxurious penthouses designed by French retailer Roche Bobois, who also designed the hotel’s brand new Presidential Suite. As of Spring 2017, The Langham features a full-service spa and fitness center, Chuan Body + Soul, offering a comprehensive menu of skincare, massage and body treatments. Ai Fiori, a Michelin-starred restaurant from Michael White’s Altamarea Group, and Bar Fiori, a destination bar and lounge, are both located on the hotel’s second floor. The Langham also has the capabilities to host meetings, events and social gatherings of all sizes in The Gallery at The Langham, a full floor of function space on the hotel’s third floor. http://www.langhamhotels.com/en/the-langham/new-york/
