Next Century Publishing Announces the New Book, "The Ruby" by Kathleen Opiela
PITTSBURGH (PRWEB) December 06, 2017 -- Next Century Publishing is pleased to announce the new action suspense novel The Ruby by Kathleen Opiela.
Kathy Opiela attended the Ivy School of Art, Pittsburgh Art Institute, Duquesne University’s small business classes, and Community College. Her interests include: philosophy, psychology, real estate development, private pilot lessons, martial arts, boxing, golf, pool, bowling and darts. After spending years living in other parts of the country, she now resides in Pennsylvania with her two Amazon parrots.
While speaking with Kathy, she had this to say about her book:
"What's so great about The Ruby is that it features a strong, empowered woman who's not afraid of adventure. Think 'James Bond' meets 'Black Widow,' with a story that leaves you wanting more!"
When asked to describe her book she says:
“To those in the shadowy world of secret agents and spies, this assassin’s name (Rocquette) is linked to stories of hits and mysterious disappearances so fantastic that many believe she must be a myth. To the men she loves and leaves, however, she is all too real.
“When William Werner and his mysterious weapon, Evil Toy, threaten all of humanity, the U.S. government believes Kelly Rocquette is the only one capable of stopping him from taking over the world.
“Agent Jake “Junkman” Riley of The Task Force, an elite government agency, is ordered to convince Rocquette to take on the mission. She is as cold as the rumors claim, but the heat between them is undeniable. He soon realizes that, while the fate of the planet—and his job—may be on the line, it is his heart that’s in greatest peril.
“As Rocquette works with Jake to stop a madman from destroying civilization, she fights a battle on another front—her own identity. Does Kelly, the woman capable of truly loving another person, still exist? Or has that part of her become yet another victim of the cold-blooded assassin, Rocquette?”
