Florida Consortium of Metropolitan Research Universities and University of South Florida team up for Inaugural National Student Success Conference
(PRWEB) December 07, 2017 -- The University of South Florida and the Florida Consortium of Metropolitan Research Universities today announce that attendee registration has opened for the inaugural National Student Success Conference: Innovators and Innovations, to be held February 21-23, 2018, at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay.
The National Student Success Conference will highlight innovations that address the shifting paradigms and demands of higher education. Higher education administrators, faculty, staff, industry leaders, and students are encouraged to attend this first-of-its-kind conference to learn more about innovative student success programs, policies, and practices designed to enrich the undergraduate student experience.
“USF is excited to partner with the Florida Consortium of Metropolitan Research Universities to develop a conference that will bring together blue sky thinkers and cutting edge practitioners in order to fuel educators with the latest and greatest in student success programs, practices, and policies,” said Paul Dosal, vice president of Student Affairs & Student Success at USF.
The conference will provide over 20 breakout sessions and feature thought leader George Kuh, founding director of the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment, as the opening keynote speaker. Sally Johnstone, president of the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems (NCHEMS), Dan Greenstein, director of Education of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Mark Milliron, co-founder & chief learning officer, Civitas Learning Inc., are also among the conference presenters.
Participants will have an opportunity to discuss innovative practices and philosophies that impact the design of programs to better engage today’s students in the learning process, enhance services and resources, augment teaching in and outside the classroom, and broaden research initiatives that expand the learning environment.
