MeTEOR Education’s Kayla McCullough Named a 2017 CET Designer Winner
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (PRWEB) December 04, 2017 -- MeTEOR Education, a leading educational services partner that works with educators, students and whole communities to develop High-Impact Learning Experiences™, is pleased to announce that its interior designer, Kayla McCullough, LEED AP, was named a CET Designer Awards winner at the 10th annual CET Designer User Conference. The competition recognizes best uses of the CET Designer space-planning software by commercial interior designers, salespeople and facility planners throughout the world. McCullough placed third in the competition’s “Best Success Story” category.
The Best Success Story competition category called for submissions showing how the CET Designer software helped to overcome a challenge or met an opportunity. McCullough submitted an entry showcasing the use of the software in the design of a 21st-century high school environment focused on collaborative learning in order to prepare students for their collegiate future.
The design was the centerpiece of a proposal for a large district bid. The district gave McCullough’s design team basic guidelines and the conceptual direction to “be creative and create learning spaces of tomorrow.” Using that fundamental information, the team created a design that successfully aligned the district’s vision with the architectural backdrop.
In addition to understanding and effectively executing the district’s vision, McCullough used technology to “immerse” district representatives in her design. “During the client interview process, we were able to fully engage the panel with the design proposal, accompanied with CET demonstrations of in-the-moment revisions and virtual reality panoramas, with Yulio and virtual reality goggles,” she said.
McCullough’s entry was the only education-focused submission to win a CET Designer Award. The winner announcements were made during the conference, which was held November 8-9, 2017 at The Venetian-Palazzo resort and conference center in Las Vegas.
