Memorial Foundation Created By Mom, To Honor Son, Awards 6 Scholarships
Columbus, Oh, (PRWEB) December 06, 2017 -- New Memorial Foundation awards 6 Scholarships to individuals for volunteer Mission Trips to San Salvador, Honduras and other countries in need. These trips provide unique opportunity to interact with local residents, play with children, build homes and share their faith. Recipients honored by support were young adults, students, fathers, employees, church volunteers, who told stories of their own addictions, growing in faith and never having travelled before.
Quinn’s Memorial Foundation was created in honor of her son, who died fall 2016, at the young age of 26. “This was exactly his dream that he didn’t get a chance to do because of the medical concerns he dealt with throughout his whole life as well as the cost, can be prohibitive,” said Maureen Considine Gharrity, Mother and Founder of Quinn’s Memorial Foundation, “When he passed away, I wanted to carry on his dream, by making it easier for others, especially young adults, to take these life changing trips, both in the U.S. and internationally, for themselves. And let Quinn’s dream be a reality through others. It just speaks to exactly who he was.”
We look forward to this growing in the years to come. If you would like to know more, or to make a donation, please visit our webpage at: https://www.crowdrise.com/quinns-memorial-foundation
