Inventors Develop Amniotic Fluid Testing Kit (BGF-2123)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) December 06, 2017 -- PITTSBURGH...Inventors from Warren, Mich., have developed the AMN-I-CLEAR, a home test to determine if a pregnant woman is leaking amniotic fluid.
"We had two false alarms during our first pregnancy. We rushed to the hospital under the impression amniotic fluid was leaking. Not all women were as lucky," said the inventors.
The AMN-I-CLEAR helps determine if discharge is normal vaginal discharge or amniotic fluid. This may prevent complications from undetected amniotic fluid leaking. In turn, this kit may eliminate unnecessary medical visits and the associated costs. In addition, it confirms that water has broken prior to full-term/normal labor. Ultimately, this at-home kit will provide peace of mind for pregnant women.
