Maryland Couple Launches New Mental Health and Wellness Practice in P.G. County, MD
LANHAM, Md. (PRWEB) December 08, 2017 -- Husband and wife duo, Derick Martin and Dr. April Martin, will be opening a Mental Health and Wellness Practice, Achieving Mental Victory, on January 8, 2018. The facility is located at 4200 Parliament Place Suite #510, Lanham, MD., and will provide a variety of counseling for adults, children, couples and families, that are in need of mental rejuvenation and restoration.
"Lack of mental stability and normalcy can harmfully affect someone's daily life, physical health, and their personal relationships," states Dr. April Martin. "With 1 out of 5 Americans battling some form of mental illness, more facilities are needed, which played a huge factor as to why we are opening the practice. We want to end the negative stigma associated with mental illness, and be an advocate for those that are afraid to be heard."
Achieving Mental Victory is prepared to serve the adults and children in their community that are suffering with mental illnesses, such as trauma, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, depression, etc. In addition to their highly skilled and degreed staff, Achieving Mental Victory has teamed up with Healthy Kinder, a non-profit organization that has over a decade of senior level experience in the healthcare industry. The president, Dr. Astril Webb, will join the team with her expertise as a Mental Health Coach. She will educate and provide support to clients and their families that require a better understanding of their mental illness and how to better assist their loved ones; along with professional psychological services.
