NEW YORK (PRWEB) December 05, 2017 -- Six months after its initial launch, Gatsby the first dating app to ban criminals and sex offenders, has released a new update to strengthen their users' security even further. Gatsby uses billions of publicly available data records from thousands of different sources for their security algorithm. In a move to increase the accuracy of this algorithm, as well as deter fake profiles, Gatsby adds mandatory two factor authentication.

Current Gatsby users will receive a prompt the next time they log in to confirm their mobile number. Users will not be allowed to use Gatsby unless they complete this confirmation process. New users will have to confirm their mobile numbers during the sign up process. Instituting mandatory two factor authentication gives the Gatsby team the ability to offer another new free feature, X-Blocker.
“After Gatsby launched we received media coverage from around the world. We urged our users to reach out to us, letting us know how we could make Gatsby even better for them. The most common request was the ability to block an abusive ex that didn’t have a criminal record,” Penora said.
X-Blocker, located in the settings area of the Gatsby app is simple to use. Enter the phone numbers of people whom you would like to stay clear of. Whether it is an ex-significant other, a ex-co-worker or former friend. You will never see or receive a message from those you block. Most importantly those you block will not see your profile either. Another industry first from the Gatsby team to make finding love online even safer.
Gatsby is available for both iPhone and Android.
