Sun Chlorella Corporation (SCC) of Japan announced today that its US office, Sun Chlorella USA (SCUSA) will lead the effort for professional sports outreach. This is a significant development for the Japanese food and supplement company whose sales offices span across the globe in Asia, North America, Europe and Australia.

NSF International, formerly NSF National Sanitation Foundation, assists athletes, coaches, dietitians and trainers make more informed decisions when choosing sports supplements. As an independent, accredited organization that has developed rigorous standards, conducts tests and product certification, NSF International is recognized by the NFL, MLB, PGA, NHL and more.

Futoshi Nakayama, President and CEO of SCC/SCUSA upholds a family legacy of almost 50 years starting with his grandfather, Hideo Nakayama—founder of Sun Chlorella Group—and father, Tetsuaki Nakayama, Chairman of SCC. NSF Certified for Sport® Certification consists of several steps including: formulation and labeling, toxicology testing, GMP practices and procedures, testing and analysis, as well as product certification. In addition, NSF Certified for Sport® Certification spans observation of in-house laboratories and product traceability.
