PALMco Energy Gifts $5,000 to U.S Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PRWEB) December 06, 2017 -- PALMco Energy (PALMco), a privately-owned retail provider of electricity and natural gas, today announced a gift of $5,000 to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program. The donation will support Toys for Tots’ annual mission to help less fortunate children experience the joy of the holiday season by providing them with new, unwrapped toys. For its contribution PALMco was recognized as A Marine Toys for Tots National Corporate Donor.
“PALMco Energy is committed to working with organizations throughout our service area and to ensure that all children, no matter their lot in life, can share in the joy and hope of the holiday season,” said Robert Palmese, Chief Executive Officer of PALMco Energy. “Our children are our future and by banding together, our community’s generosity can help to ensure that every child has a chance to be happy.”
"We are very pleased to welcome PALMco as a national corporate donor of the 2017 Marine Toys for Tots Campaign," said retired Marine Colonel Ted Silvester, vice president of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. "Their community service goals certainly align with those the Marine Corps has promoted for nearly 70 years through our Toys for Tots Program." Silvester concluded, "With their generous support we will be able to fulfill the Christmas holiday dreams of less fortunate children who otherwise might be forgotten."
PALMco’s contribution to the Toys for Tots Program will go toward the organization’s efforts to provide gifts throughout the states within the energy company’s service area, including Delaware, Washington DC, Virginia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
The Toys for Tots donation process begins with local toy collection campaigns in October lasting until mid-December, followed by toy distribution from mid to late-December. National Corporate Donors enhance the visibility of these campaigns at both the national and local levels. The funds enable the Toys for Tots Program to purchase promotional and support materials. Toys for Tots is unique in that over 97 percent of donations go toward providing gifts to underprivileged children.
Based in Brooklyn, NY, PALMco has a long history of engaging with their community. Earlier this year, PALMco held a donation campaign with their consumers to raise funds for relief services to those impacted by the devastation from Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.
