Toys and Bikes - Enough to Fill Three Stretch Limousines - Donated by Chapel of the Flowers to the 19th Annual 98.5 KLUC Toy Drive in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) December 06, 2017 -- It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and Morning Zoo host Chet Buchanan is up 30-feet in the sky, part of his commitment to collect trucks, dolls, games, stuffed animals, bikes, and gift cards for the 19th Annual 98.5 KLUC 2017 Toy Drive. This past Monday morning, he saw not a sleigh with reindeer fly into the official drop-off location, but three white limousines driving into the lot, filled with toys and bikes. Chapel of the Flowers started collecting toys at their Fall Festival on October 30 and the team of nearly 100 employees has been as busy as elves ever since, sorting and filling up the limousines when not helping couples from around the world get married.
This is the fourth year that Chapel of the Flowers has participated in the KLUC Toy Drive. Last year the toys filled up two limousines but this year, with so many donations from the community at the Fall Festival and gifts purchased by the Chapel of the Flowers, they filled up three stretch limousines. A total of eight bicycles were also donated, and after the limousines were unloaded and donated, Toy Truck #5 was completely full and had to be closed.
The top-rated wedding chapel in Las Vegas is known for five-star customer service and receives outstanding reviews from couples and their guests who travel here from across the United States and around the world. Donne and Cindy Kerestic and the dedicated staff at Chapel of the Flowers all care deeply about their hometown, and as much as they focus on brides and grooms, they give equal attention to local families and their children.
“It is our hope that the bikes and toys we donated this year will help bring joy to children in Las Vegas.” said Donne Kerestic, CEO at Chapel of the Flowers. “Chet Buchanan is so generous with his time, and his passion for the Toy Drive and kids in need is infectious. If he can sit up on that scaffold for days, we can all help out by donating.”
Toys will be collected through 10am Monday, December 11. The official Toy Drive location is at NV Energy, 6226 West Sahara Ave. in Las Vegas. Chet will be high atop the “Big Thirty-Foot Scaffold” and is accepting new, unwrapped toys, new bicycles, gift cards, cash and checks. Last year nearly 70 charities, and HELP of Southern Nevada, distributed the toys and bikes to families in need.
