CHELTENHAM, U.K. (PRWEB UK) 7 December 2017 -- Salpo Technologies today announced the initial release of their GDPR Compliance Assistance Tool.
This ground-breaking solution provides a platform with the functionality required to support customers looking to meet the GDPR’s Right to Know and consent management obligations.
There are two levels of the solution, available to Salpo Silver and Gold CRM licence customers.
Level 1 provides a comprehensive set of features, allowing organisations to easily define a GDPR status against each relevant PII (Personally Identifiable Information) field in their system, plus create Privacy Statements and link these to contact records. Whether an email, telephone number or other PII field, the system allows the creation of as many PII fields as required. These fields are then highlighted as GDPR applicable and can be associated with the individual contacts that organisations hold in their system. The audit functionality provides the ability to review whether consent has been given, how consent was gained and the date. This data can then be analysed and reported on.
Level 2 adds automation to the process and will support organisations in making sure that they are gaining the right permissions from their customers. It allows customers to access, view and update their preferences online. This saves businesses time and money by automating the process of updating preferences.
Level 2 can be run as a standalone GDPR solution, with imports and exports, or managed as a natural extension of the Salpo CRM. Salpo’s GDPR Compliance Assistance Tool provides the core functionality organisations need to support their GDPR data obligations.
Commenting on the launch, Salpo CEO, Paul Lawrence, said: “GDPR’s implementation date of 25th May 2018 is fast approaching and we believe it’s critical for companies to start taking action now and get the right system in place to manage their customers’ data. We are seeing many companies either burying their heads in the sand or waiting to see what others do. GDPR will be enforced and businesses need to wake up to the fact that soon, without having explicit permission, they will be unable to market to customers in the way they have been.
“Companies, from sole traders to multi-nationals, need to start seeking permissions from customers and introduce the systems and processes to continually manage and report on this. Not doing so could mean that in six months their database is worthless and the ability to get their key messages out to their customers is massively reduced.”
The manual Level 1 features are free to Salpo’s Silver and Gold licence CRM customers. So, for the price of a Silver licence (£25 per month), organisations can have a solution to help them meet their GDPR data obligations.
The Level 2 add-on, with automated self-serve features, costs £1,200 per year.
