CarWink has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter with a funding goal of $80,000

Innovart Design launched their Kickstarter campaign over two weeks ago for their lifestyle gadget, CarWink, that is focused on helping drivers effectively communicate on the road. The campaign is 50% funded towards their funding goal of $80,000 with over one month left to reach its goal, and over the past week, CarWink has been ranked as one of the top three most popular gadgets on Kickstarter.

With CarWink’s hands-free voice control, drivers can now use a wide variety of pre-set phrases to show emojis and communicate with one another. The voice control transforms users thoughts and words, while driving, into lights, allowing for a seamless driving experience. Users can also use the one-touch input by using the CarWink application. In the future, the CarWink team plans to study the culture of driving and driver communities in other countries in order to develop exclusive emojis for different regions. CarWink has been backed by many different countries and the team would like to ensure that CarWink works seamlessly no matter where the user is driving. CarWink attaches to the rear window of any vehicle using a suction cup, and messages from CarWink can clearly be seen by drivers up to two car lengths away.

In the future, the team behind CarWink plans to introduce accessory kits that allow users to customize, or create their own unique, CarWink. Future accessory kits include cat ears, sunglasses, new emojis and more. Backers who purchase the accessory kits will be able to download for free, the new emoji animated themes. The core value of CarWink is “driving made personal” which they try to bring across through new emojis, accessory kits, and encouraging interaction between the driver and others on the road.

CarWink’s two halves close together to form a sphere, which makes it portable so it can be moved from car to car. When closed, CarWink measures 4.7” x 4.7” x 4.7” to easily fit in any bag or glove compartment. When open, CarWink measures 4.7” x 4.7” x 10.2.” The small gadget is compatible with iOS and Android devices. To use the voice control feature, simply sync CarWink via Bluetooth to the CarWink app. CarWink uses micro USB to charge assisted by solar charging. CarWink is equipped with a thin film solar panel to allow for passive energy harvesting and extended usage time. The solar panel optimizes the user experience by letting drivers charge CarWink less so they are able to use it more.

CarWink is currently available on Kickstarter for $87. Early adopters can select from blue, black, white or red as color options for their CarWink device to tailor the interactive gadget to the driver’s personality. For more information, visit bit.ly/CarWinkKS.
