“In just a few short years, Interjet Airlines has exceeded all expectations, to rise from our humble beginnings with just three aircraft to become one of Mexico’s leading and most admired airlines,” said José Luis Garza, CEO of Interjet. “This year we were named by TripAdvisor’s 2017 Travelers’ Choice Winner as Best Mexican Airline, and to celebrate our anniversary, we are offering special fares to say ‘thank you’ to our customers for their loyalty and continued support,” he added.
“I am also very proud of what Interjet has achieved these past 12 years,” added Julio Gamero, Interjet’s Chief Commercial Officer. “As we look towards the future, Interjet will continue to expand our international service flying to new countries and new markets,” he said.
Following its launch in 2005, Interjet has become one of the fastest growing carriers in North America and while 2017 was a year filled with enormous challenges for the airline industry, Interjet transported more than 226 thousand international passengers through October, 2017 – a healthy 25 per cent increase over the previous year, according to statistics from the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC).
“In 2018, we will continue to offer our unique brand of lower fares with free checked bags using our Priority fare, more legroom between seats and our great service that has been embraced everywhere we fly,” Garza said.
