Neo Immersion Montessori School (NIMS) today announced the grand opening of its first school in Pacifica, Calif. NIMS nurtures quality bilingual education and an outdoor curriculum beyond the traditional classroom setting. The school serves diverse families who are looking for a collaborative environment and hands-on learning for children ages two-five years old under a customized 1:3 teacher-student ratio environment.

“Children learn by doing, and I believe it is one of the best ways that we can develop curiosity, confidence, and resilience in our kids,” said Elina Chen, Founder and Executive Director, Neo Immersion Montessori School. “NIMS’ goal is to foster early childhood education in the direction that supports happiness and the well-being of its students. Our children take with them a foundation of personal, gross motor, fine motor, and cognitive skills necessary to progress with confidence as valuable contributors in global communities.”

NIMS and members of the Pacifica Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially launch the school. To celebrate its grand opening, NIMS will offer two weeks free tuition for the 2017-2018 school year. According to Jamie Monozon, CEO, Pacifica Chamber of Commerce and San Bruno Chamber of Commerce, “I truly enjoyed my visit at the Neo Immersion Montessori School in Pacifica. The setting is beautiful, clean and a wonderful place for learning, inspiring imagination and creativity. The school would be a great choice to send your children to.”

NIMS focuses on the Neo Method® which follows the child through an immersive developmental model integrated with the learning practice of Dr. Maria Montessori. The Montessori method of teaching aims to educate the whole child, ultimately preparing them to be self-directed life long learners and engaged global citizens. The school’s curriculum combines Montessori methods with bilingual education, health and wellness. It has been proven that combining all these factors leads to a much higher level of engagement in children under six years old.

“I was so impressed with the grand opening at Neo Immersion Montessori School,” said Darlene Gonzalez, Senior Loan Officer, Direct Funding Mortgage and

Pacifica Chamber Board of Director. “If I had small children this is where I would recommend you look at. I was impressed with the direction they are going - teaching farm to table, bilingual language teaching and many more.”

The NIMS philosophy on assessment and accountability is based on consistent communication and sharing of goals between parents and teachers. Montessori education has a long history of careful observation and development of curriculum to meet the needs of every child. NIMS begins the year with individualized goal setting between teachers and parents, ensuring a positive school experience for children – both academically, physiologically and socially.
