Starlight Community Theater Continues to Spread Holiday Cheer With Their Presentation of A Christmas Story

Starlight Community Theater (SCT) will continue to present A Christmas Story for four more performances from December 8 through December 10. This production marks the fifth show of SCT’s 2017-2018 season.

A Christmas Story follows nine-year-old Ralphie Parker and his comedic adventure to getting the only thing he wants for a Christmas: A Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Much to Ralphie's dismay, Raphies request is denied by his mother, teacher and even the
Santa Claus at the local department store.

In the meantime, the audience is treated to numerous amusing episodes involving Ralphie, his parents, his kid brother Randy, and various other inhabitants of Hohman, Indiana. A Christmas Story is a holiday classic that will not only having audiences laughing off the edge of their seats but also a bring tears to their eyes.

The stage production of A Christmas Story is based off of the 1983 American Christmas Comedy Film that was directed by Bob Clark. Since then, the film has become a holiday classic in the United States and is shown numerous times on local television networks and movie theaters during the Christmas season.
