Gean Tremaine Promoted to President of Q-Tran, Inc.
MILFORD, Conn. (PRWEB) December 07, 2017 -- Q-Tran, Inc. a Connecticut based lighting Manufacturer, today announced the promotion of Gean Tremaine to President effective immediately. Tremaine, who currently serves as Q-Tran’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), has two decades of industry experience and is widely respected within the lighting industry.

Mr. Tremaine has served as the Chief Operating Officer of Q-Tran since 2015. In that role, Mr. Tremaine managed all aspects of business operations, including product and supply sourcing, operations, human resources, sales, marketing, product development, accounting and finance, production and international sourcing. From 1998-2004 Mr. Tremaine served as National Sales Manager and was responsible for developing new accounts, managing 75 independent representative agencies, educating the sales force on current and new products; analyzing sales volume per representative and forecasting quarterly sales figures for each territory. In this role, he also set annual targets for the representative agencies and conducted monthly reviews, demonstrated company products to potential clients, maintained the database and oversaw all trade show activity including booth design, development and establishing leads and follow-up. He also assisted in new product development and design. From 2004 to 2015, Mr. Tremaine served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing where his primary responsibilities included planning annual micro and macro management goals, overseeing the sales force, OEM and national accounts; executing the marketing plan and managing new product development from concept stage through execution. In this role, he was also responsible for developing new channels of distribution including stocking distributors, national accounts, and specification business. As part of this effort, Mr. Tremaine also created Q-Tran’s AIA/CES course, quickly making architects the primary specification sales channel.
Prior to joining Q-Tran, Mr. Tremaine served as a Sales Manager for Stran & Company. In that role, he managed over 20 national accounts as a member of an elite sales rep team and was responsible for hiring new sales talent. In 1997, Mr. Tremaine was the recipient of a sales award for achieving significant annual revenue in 1997.
