“The Littlest Hummingbird”: a simple and true story about the healing presence of God. “The Littlest Hummingbird” is the creation of published author, Christine Descant Gaspard. Christine was born in 1958 the day after Christmas. She grew up in a small farming community in Hessmer, Louisiana. She also attended Louisiana State University. She met her “knight in shining armor” Bruce, who she married thirty-eight years ago. They have two grown daughters and three granddaughters who inspire her writing. She worked in the health-care profession for eleven years before she became a devoted stay-at-home mom. Christine attends several denominational churches in her area. Christine enjoys collecting clothing, toys, and nonperishable food items to be distributed to needy families.
“This true story offers only a glimpse of how our heavenly Father keeps all of the promises that he has made to his children and all of creation. His word is true and alive in each one of us. All we have to do is believe.” --Christine Descant Gaspard
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Christine Descant Gaspard’s new book offers a glimpse of how the heavenly Father keeps all of His promises.
Based on true events, the tiniest of hummingbirds playfully fights among a group of much bigger hummingbirds. As author Christine Descant Gaspard watches the birds swarm her hummingbird feeder, she finds herself rooting for the little guy. When a bigger hummingbird knocks the smaller one from the sky, she quickly rushes to his side. In his recovery, she sees the healing presence of God.
