2018 iaedp™ Symposium Continues Tradition of Presenting the Latest in Eating Disorder Treatment with Top Professionals in U.S.
PEKIN, Ill. (PRWEB) December 08, 2017 -- The 32nd annual iaedp™ (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals) Symposium has announced its 2018 program schedule, now available online. This year’s conference event will continue the Symposium’s reputation for presenting the latest in new treatments and research concerning eating disorders. The dynamic Symposium takes place March 22 - 25 at the Omni at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida and features nearly 100 sessions, including keynote speakers, workshops, pre-certification courses and many other special events.
In addition to workshops and educational courses, the winners of iaedp’s™ “Imagine Me Beyond What You See” Body Image Mannequin Art Competition will be revealed and spotlighted at the Symposium. This art competition, an awareness-through-art contest unlike any other, is in its eighth year.
“The field of eating disorders is always changing, whether that includes treatment methods, new research or a new healthcare system,” said Bonnie Harken, Managing Director of the iaedp™ Foundation. “Our purpose at iaedp is to provide a forum for eating disorder professionals to discuss these changes as well as educate and exchange information and personally network among the most accomplished professionals in the field.”
The 2018 iaedp™ Symposium offers five days of training sessions and instructive presentations. Highlights of the workshops offered include: treating chronically ill anorexic patients, navigating emotional recoveries, special nutritional treatment of eating disorder patients, medical comorbidities affected by an eating disorder and insights into Binge Eating Disorder, among the many other relevant topics.
Due to its extreme popularity, iaedp™ will once again offer its pre-certification courses onsite at the 2017 Symposium. With these courses, professionals who are new to the field or who do not specialize in eating disorders can receive a first-hand, comprehensive introduction to eating disorder treatment.
Early registration is open through January 15, 2018 with important registration discounts available: for iaedp™ certified members, $625; for members, $675; for non-iaedp™ members, $750; for full-time students, $375; for retired registrants, $375; and for international registrants, $375.
