SAE International Opens Registration for 2018 WCX: The SAE World Congress Experience
(PRWEB) December 08, 2017 -- Registration is now open for 2018 WCX: The SAE World Congress Experience, which will be held April 10-12, 2018, at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan.
WCX in 2017 was a full-spectrum, full-sensory interactive experience, uniting the mobility industry’s best talent from innovation hubs around the world for active learning, high-powered collaboration and discovery. Video from the event is available here: wcx18.org/video-gallery/.
“Building off the momentum of the 2017 event, WCX in 2018 will further position itself as the place where collaboration and imagination converge to create new solutions for common industry challenges,” stated Jim Forlenza, SAE’s Group Director of Engineering Events. “The industry revolution is already in motion and WCX is at the forefront.”
At WCX, attendees will gain critical insight on the latest technology and regulations related to powertrain, propulsion, emission, safety and electronics to maintain a competitive advantage. From specialized engineers to technology executives, the full spectrum of mobility professionals converges for three days of interactive learning, expert insight, evolutionary inspiration and technological innovation.
Returning in 2018 are the Tech Hub and Leadership Summit, two experience areas that feature groundbreakers from a spectrum of industries in mobility as well as influential business and technology leads who will demonstrate ideas and influence innovation.
Among the new features at WCX are pavilions, areas where attendees can discover products and services specially aimed to address their needs. These include: the Connect2Car Pavilion, the Telecommunications Industry Association Connected Communities Pavilion organized by TIA, Lightweighting, Materials and Efficiency Pavilion organized by AluMag Automotive and the Smart Transportation Pavilion organized by SEMI.
Another feature are executive tours of the show floor. More information about the tours can be found here: http://wcx18.org/exec-tours.
WCX is supported by an executive advisory group — the WCX Leadership Team— with representatives from the industry’s leading companies. WCX General Chair Ken Kelzer, Vice President, Global Vehicle Components and Subsystems, General Motors leads the team.
“The WCX Leadership Team has provided strategic direction and support to ensure the WCX Experience delivers appropriate technical and leadership learning elements coupled with relevant exhibits and displays," said Kelzer. “We are committed to ensuring WCX remains engaging for today’s mobility practitioners.”
