National Aviation Academy (NAA) Partners with Draken International for Student Internships
CLEARWATER, Fla. (PRWEB) December 13, 2017 -- National Aviation Academy (NAA) has recently partnered with Draken International to develop a paid internship program for students who currently attend the Tampa Bay campus. This comes in addition to other industry pipeline programs that have been established this year with Delta TechOps and Cape Air.
Internships take place at Draken International's Lakeland operational facility. Several students have been selected to participate, working on fighter jets while completing their training at NAA. They are repairing aircraft such as the Douglas A-4 Skyhawks and Aero Vodochody L-159E ALCA. In addition to pay, students receive individual mentorship, shift meals and hands-on, industry experience. This is an excellent opportunity for NAA students to increase their knowledge in an atmosphere that can lead to a permanent job offer – all prior to graduation.
David Mead, Executive Vice President of Operations and Education, states, "Draken International is offering students a stellar opportunity to gain industry experience while finishing their education at NAA. It is invaluable."
NAA incorporates the latest technology and industry resources to deliver high quality aviation maintenance training. Partnering with Draken International will strengthen NAA’s ability to achieve its mission of preparing students for employment in the aviation industry.
